Kinsey Institute Lecture and Discussion Series

The Kinsey Institute Lecture & Discussion Series highlights current sex and sexuality research from a wide array of disciplines. Speakers include Kinsey Institute faculty, visiting scholars, Kinsey Institute affiliates, and invited researchers. Lectures are offered throughout the academic year and are free and open to the public.

Dr. Myeshia Price (she/they) is an Associate Professor in the Human Development program within the Department of Counseling & Educational Psychology and an Associate Research Scientist with the Kinsey Institute. Their current area of research focuses on the rich experiences of LGBTQ youth in the U.S., including risk and protective factors for suicidality.

Dr. James Brooks

Dr. James Brooks is an Assistant Professor in the Counseling and Counseling Psychology Programs at Indiana University. Their research interests are in relationship science and intergroup dynamics exploring the experiences of interracial relationships and multiracial families.

The annual Kenneth R. Haslam, MD Relationship Diversity Research Award was established in 2021 to support the work of Kinsey Institute and affiliated researchers conducting research on non-monogamy, alternative sexualities, and intersections of diverse relationships and sexuality.
